Beach holiday Sri Lanka: The Northwest province of Sri Lanka is an area only recently discovered by visitors from outside Sri Lanka. It is an a place as yet unspoilt and and as such as a visitor one can truly enjoy and experience an undeveloped part of Sri Lanka.
Our resort is situated right on the beach beside a palm-lined lagoon and the Indian Ocean. Our lagoon villas face directly onto the lagoon whilst our cabanas nestle amongst the palm trees. Both villas and cabanas are just a short walk to the beach and to our beach restaurant which sits right on the sand.
In the summer holiday season, mid-May to mid-September, we have a lot of strong wind. We started life as a kitesurfing resort as a result of the fantastic kitesurfing conditions on offer here. But for the rest of the year, the wonderfully warm Sri Lankan weather conditions offer everything from totally wind-less days, to days where we have only wind in the afternoons (and that wind is considerably lighter than in the summer).
This part of Sri Lanka is always hot and so the afternoon winds are usually very welcome, offering pleasantly cooling breezes.
From November to April, the ocean becomes calm and is lovely for swimming and bathing. If you fancy something a little more active you can rent one of our stand up paddle boards and go for a paddle along the shore.
Otherwise you can sunbathe on the beach or relax on one of our sun loungers, either in the sun or in the shade beneath one of our coconut-leaf beach umbrellas. Our infinity pool overlooks both the lagoon and is the ideal spot for again, lying back on a sun lounger with a good book or perhaps a refreshing freshly squeezed fruit juice.
